An extension of Sherborne's 'Cartmel' Collection, the 'Cartmel Fireside' has the same renowned styling, but with a wooden leg! The leg is available in light or dark wood, making it easier to match to existing furniture. Choose from a 'Queen Anne' leg with a traditional and curvaceous cabriole form, a 'Classic' leg with a square tapered finish, or finally a turned and tapered cylindrical leg. With the furniture being lifted off the floor, it allows light to pass beneath, creating the impression of space. It also make vacuuming a doddle! Cartmel Fireside Chair retains the same deep-cushioned backrest, with superb bolster and lumbar shape, which offer exemplary support for your back. 


  • Available in a fabulous range of luxury fabrics, with a vast selection of colours offered.
  • The Cartmel Fireside Chair has been designed to either sit on its own, or so that it can be accompanied by a matching furniture from the 'Cartmel Collection'.
  • Often sold for use as a reading or bedroom chair, as well as an everyday chair in a living room.
  • A 'High Seat' chair and 'Low Seat' chair are also available, with taller or lower seat cushions respectively.
  • The Cartmel Fireside Chair comes with either a standard scroll arm, or with a wooden knuckle protruding from the front edge.
  • The knuckle arm feature provides a grab-hold for those less mobile to get in and out of the chair with greater ease.
